Actually there are many other weird things in the game that I find funny: growing high-level strawberries, bribing your neighbors with gifts so they like you, hammering swords out of insect giblets and giants’ fingernails… but running through town with a squid has always been a high point of absurdity.

It's funny how if you ran through your town with a squid in real life, you'd be considered insane, but in the games it's thought to be completely normal.
